Earth’s Shadow Artistic Research

There is something very illogical about looking at the earth’s shadow, because you are ‘actually’ looking in the wrong direction. Because to perceive the earth’s shadow, you have to turn your back on the miracle of the setting sun.

The shadow is a less intense, grotesque, overwhelming visual spectacle, until you do something that makes the colours come alive. And that’s what Uta Neumann and I did during our artist in residence period at Libken. From on high, on the roof.
